I spent the weekend before last in LA hanging out with a pal of mine who works to distribute anime and such to TV and Film companies. (ie. distributing Millenium Actress most recently.) Anyway, he told me (so it's hearsay, but plausible hearsay none the less) that Mokona Appa(I should know how to spell this, my bad.) Is suffering from Arthritis and will be retiring soon. (next 2 years or so). So a theory is that they're stockpiling and working on stuff now so that it can be distributed later once she and some of the other CLAMP folks retire. (Because that's seems to be the word on the streets. They're either going to hire replacements or just fade out gracefully.) Which is probably why some of the manga coming out now by CLAMP isn't drawn by M.A. but someone else whose name eludes me. So..waaah to retirement. But..um..yay to possible future uninterrupted releases of X and stuff in the future. BTW: Anyone reading XXXHolic or Tsubasa (Resevoir Chronicles)?
