Not continuing the story.

Leaving them in limbo. Leaving them without blessful resolution to their solutions, whether that resolution should be the world going kersplatzka, people getting smooshed or certain personages who seem unable to draw the might of the CLAMP gore-paint-brush spewed all over their little 2D selves remain living in angsting misery for freaking eternity.
