I don't know; I'm inclined to think this all rather too much paranoia. First of all, the blood-licking is all OVER; Fuuma hardly has a monopoly on it. Nor does Seishirou have sole claim to all sakura tree related imagery; we all know sakura are everywhere in anime. And about the young bishonen friend--well, it APPEARED as a young bishounen but, at least in the manga, it was actually Enma being sneaky.

I mean, you could draw lines and parallels until you're blue in the face, but that's the case with many series, and anything you're really trying to force connections with. Yami and TB have some similarities, but they're in a similar genre, and written for a similar audience. The presence of some similar plot devices probably just means that Matsushita and CLAMP have similar tastes, not that Yami is a total rip-off. Personality-wise, Hisoka and TB-Subaru really don't have much in common. There're more noticeable similarities between Seishirou and Muraki, but, while Seishirou is far more suave and slick than to ever rape anyone, and no where near as physically sadistic as Muraki, the good doctor gets rather more humanizing incidents and outside connections. (As cute as it would be, who can really see Seishirou adopting a stray kitten and naming it Subaru-neko?)

As for the picture of Tsuzuki being a purple-eyed bishounen with an X carved on him--well, maybe it WAS an actual reference to X, Matsushida being funny. That doesn't mean it was maliciously intended, or meant to be a rip-off.

And anyway, the greater majority of CLAMP's own work is inspired by other things, or a purposeful twist on a genre story, and no one calls them rip-off hacks, ne? Lets not be so quick to jump to conclusions.
