Anyway, to Marina, I think it's debatable whether or not Muraki actually CARVED the marks on Hisoka, given that we don't always see physical scars, and I don't remember a knife being used in that scene, at least in the manga. I think it's more likely a magical manifestation--activated and visible when Muraki wants it to be.
