http://jupiterstar.net has some information on it, but I'm not sure how long that information is going to stay.

Apparently, Sakura is a princess in the country of Clow. She and Syaoran are childhood friends. Touya is the king of Clow and Yukito is the castle magician (?).

When Sakura visits Syaoran at the excaviation (sp ^_^;;) site, she goes into a trance like state and floats up on wings. Syaoran grabs her, but someone appears and takes the wings from her. Touya and Yukito arrive, and Touya is injured from fighting with creatures that appeared. Yukito sends Syaoran into another world, and tells him that those wings are Sakura's memories and she needs them back.

The world that Yukito sends Syaoran and Sakura to is the world of XXXHolic.
