In the last few volumes of X, something has been bothering me. A few characters have gone MIA, unless they were killed and I missed that (not likely):
Kusanagi - You'd think he'd at least have a chapter thrown his way every now and then, but for the last few volumes he's only showed up on the cover of one. He really needs some characterization, since he seems to wane the most about the DoE's mission due to his relationship with Yuzuriha. He really can be more interesting, but he's been sidelined lately, meditating or whatever. I mean, his job with the JSSDF might have him busy during Tokyo's evacuation, but since he is involved with the group trying to destroy it you'd think you'd see him from time to time. At least they remembered to put him on the cover of a volume, so hopefully CLAMP will remember him.
Keiichi - What happened to this guy? His parents die, we have a scene where his "wish" seems to be to stop the earthquakes and perhaps protect Kamui, then he drops off the face of the earth. Did he get out of Dodge? Did he die in an earthquake? He could use some characterization too, and he's been MIA for as long as Kusanagi. He looked to be a fairly promising character, but seems to have been dropped.
These are the most prominent two. I do hope they show up again, though I'd hate their absence to be because CLAMP forgot.
So what do you guys think? Has Yuzu/Kusa & Keiichi/Kamui gone by the wayside? Where'd these bums go?
