You know, this is kind of funny. I was just about to write the exact same thing!

THANK YOU! It's about time somebody smacked some sense into us! I happen to think that mealy arguements over conflicting veiws are somewhat meaningless and absurd. All right, so it's fun to debate now and then, but there is NO EXCUSE for statements that personally demean other fans. And the sheer *extent* that people argue things...what the hell's the point? What do they have to gain from mouth-bitching each other? They certainly aren't going to resolve anything. Unless, of course, one of the contenders acts like the bigger person and pats the other on the head before maturely backing out. But, of course, that rarely happens.
