Thanks for the helpful input, everyone. For now, we have decided to split our students into two groups. The freshmen will stay in the dorm and the others will be moved into a private residence. We're expecting two more students to start university (bringing us to a total of 10) before enrollment declines again. Then we plan on transitioning all of the students to the house on campus. I think it will be good for the students to do most of the cooking for themselves and to have fewer dormies close by to influence into doing their work for them.

We really need to look into reimbursing our students for the grant/ scholarship money they earn in college. The university had enough funds to buy and furnish a nicer house than most of our residents own!
