I did attend the trial early this morning. At first it was nothing but a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo. Who has rights to the children and why, special circumstances (because Abram had adopted them in the first place), and then both Abram's mother and his sister's lawyer told the judge why each respective party was the best choice to take the children. No decisions made yet, of course, save one. The judge declared that the children be put in foster care until the trial is over and a guardian is chosen! If you had seen the looks on those poor children's faces! I didn't want that to happen, so.... well, I volunteered to take them in until a decision is made.

They've stayed with me numerous times over the years – we even spent a week together at Abram's beach house when Lawrence and I were going through the divorce. We might be a tad cramped in my apartment... but Ginger, I just couldn't see them go to foster homes.

As for the situation with Dean, well, yes, I suppose we are still friends... Maybe I could persuade him to stop by the bakery some time....

Oh, I'm glad Grex is spending more time at home. ^.^ Is he excited about expanding your family?
