What a crazy weekend it has been. Did you see the photos yet? They're on the coffee table.

We got there very late Friday and by the time we went through the transformation it was past midnight so we took the taxi to the house where we were staying for the weekend. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the new dimension and I don't think our mayor was either. There isn't much to do for now. A lot of the area downtown isn't as fun as in our current dimention. For example, they have built restaurants, but you can't interact the way you can now. You can arrive there and choose to eat outside or in, that's all. The beach is nice and the house we stayed in was right across the street from the beach. We had a picnic on the beach this morning which was very pleasant. We also visited the local pool and the local theatre. I noticed a lot of TS1 influence in the new dimension, which left all three of us kind of disappointed. The transformation was a pain and none of us looked even close to the way we really do. At least we were able to laugh at it. Even though the transformation is quite intense with a lot of options and very detailed adjustments, everyone looks very similar. The careers are pretty much the same, but it's A LOT harder to advance and the pay is a bit less. Everything is very expensive, from food to furniture to cars. Some cars cost around 100,000 simoleans, the nice ones of course. In order to learn how to cook you must visit the bookstore and buy recipes or cook books. It's pretty much the same with all the other skills. You then have to go to the grocery store to buy the food, individually or by recipes. We learned that babies get delivered in the hospital, which I think is nice. The wardrobe SUCKS! We were given about 20 outfits to chose from, but honestly nothing was nice. I wished I could have walked around in activewear the entire weekend, as those styles weren't too bad.

As of right now the switch to the new dimension is put on hold for us. We aren't sure when we will switch, or if we will at all.
