I heard the most distressing news when I went to work today! The family that was planning on adopting Baby Boy was turned down due to financial insufficiency. Isn't that horrible? I mean, if a family wants to adopt a baby, and is at least able to provide the basic necessities, they should be able to adopt! I am not sure who will adopt Baby Boy now.

Well, our website was finally put together! There is even a page dedicated to our carnival! You are welcome to take a look, if you would like to: http://cityofsimberryfields.wordpress.com/

Oh, I am sure your move will go smoothly! Good luck! ^.^

Oh, dear. The holiday! It was quite the nightmare, if I may say so. I picked Lawrence up from work on Saturday (he was working overtime, again!), and told him we were taking a trip. I didn't ask him, I *told* him! That was the first thing that did not go over well with my husband. He does not respond well to orders! Not only that, but he said he was far too busy to go. I told him that there was always going to be something going on at work, and now was as good a time as ever. Plus, I was driving, so he couldn't very well turn the car around. Essentially, I kidnapped my husband. >.> It was for his own good though.

He finally acquiesced on the topic of a holiday, but proceeded to protest to my choice of locations. And my choice of accommodations. And my perfume, on a completely unrelated note. But, I digress. To make a very long story short, there was an “emergency” at the office on Sunday afternoon, and it was so terribly urgent that he had to return immediately. I, however, was not going to let a non-refundable stay at a beautiful beach-front B&B slip from my hands, so I spent the rest of the weekend by myself, to return on Monday evening.

The first thing my husband said to me when he came home at ten o'clock that evening was “What's for dinner?”. Sometimes, Ginger, sometimes I just want to... guh! *wrings hands*

So, that was my weekend. I do hope yours was better!
