Subject: Port Perry Christmas /Santa Claus Parade

I am truly disappointed by the change to an evening parade. It goes on far too late to take small children, and for once I did not attend. The most ill-conceived change to what was once one of the nicest Santa Claus parades in the GTA area.

Having been a visitor to PP for 3 years and a resident for not even 1, I'm sorry to say that I've not been to any Santa parades yet, but mean to make up for this lack next year.

I (wrongly) thought that it would be nice for the kids, as they could attend the Uxbridge parade during the late morning and the PP parade in the evening.

Maybe you should contact the Town Hall to make your [valid] views known. You are probably one of many of the same opinion.

Maybe next year's parade could begin a little earlier......?

This year was my first to see the parade and I thought it was very nice.

The time was good but it was windy and cold so one had to really come dressed for standing outside for 1 hour.

The interaction with the people watching was nice. I would like to enter a float for do something in it next year.

Congratulations for putting on a great parade.

I didnt take my daughter either. i agree its much too late for small children, besides, the evenings are much colder than mid afternoon particularly this year with that rip roaring northwest wind on the evening of the parade.

I do not think 5 p.m. is too late for small children at all.How many of them go to bed for the night at 5 pm?
It is a once a year event which this parade tends to be magical for the wee ones.....Make the time for this.Like Santa it only comes once a year!!!!!
