I didnt take my daughter either. i agree its much too late for small children, besides, the evenings are much colder than mid afternoon particularly this year with that rip roaring northwest wind on the evening of the parade.

I do not think 5 p.m. is too late for small children at all.How many of them go to bed for the night at 5 pm?
It is a once a year event which this parade tends to be magical for the wee ones.....Make the time for this.Like Santa it only comes once a year!!!!!
