Q: "Where did the children go?"

A: Yes, children today are different from children yesterday; however, this is usually the case (I can only imagine the make-up of children in 20 years). Technology seems to be one of the culprits that has accelerated the change that we see in today's youth. Today's children have been consumed by technology, which in many ways can be more good than bad. Twenty years ago, if we asked the question, "where did the children go," the answer would point to less distinct matter. Today, we can point to blogs, text-messages, e-mails, etc. to locate our children, with respect to the psyche. Before we wondered what they were thinking, now we have documentation. Of course it gets difficult when the mode by which they communicate is undecipherable by the layman, but as long as we stay involved with what our children are doing, we can stay informed and in-tune with what is going on. I think "where did the children go," is an important question to ask, but I'd like to know when will we decide to get them? I cannot help but to think think of the tree in the forest. If the falling tree is not documented on Myspace, does it make a sound?
