I don't even know where to begin with you people that don't think cheerleading is a sport. It just depends on the team you are cheering on and the level your cheering at. Yeah sure, high school cheerleading that just requires you to dance around and yell isn't really a sport...I agree. The funny thing is I am a cheerleader!! I Cheer in college and without high school i wouldn't be here. Let me tell you, have you ever paid attention to all the shit we do? Getting tossed up in the air, twisting around and doing back flips while your up there is NOT easy...let alone any less dangerous than getting run at full speed by a dumbass football player. Do you know that there are more fatal injuries in cheerleading than many other sports? You don't get caught, you fall on your head and break your neck and die!!! This summer we trained for 8 hours five days a week, running six miles a day, running the stairs at the stadium, working out at the gym, dancing, cheering, and stunting. It takes incredible strength, coordination, hard work, time and commitment just like any other sport. I would pay anything to see you do the shit we do and make it through that for two months straight!!!!!!! SO, why don't you do a little reasearch, talk to the people that acutally work thier asses off to be good and compete before you talk shit and after you do you can kiss my ass!!!! Fuck YOU if you THINK cheerleading isn't a sport!
