Hi Faith, let me first ay that I am really honored that you have asked our opinions. Personally, I also feel that teenage pregnancy has gotten way out of control to the point that we as a society no longer care about it...this is good and bad. Teenage girls no longer face the ostricising that they once did, but we don't rush into try to stop it either. However; we all do what we think we should in these situations. She did show great courage in deciding to keep and then raise this baby. Yes, pageant queens should be role models, but in this day in age that does mean different things to different groups. She obviously knows that there are systems that she will not be able to compete in...that is simply the price for her decisions. That being said, there are pageants, like mail in comp., and ones that take into consideration adversity that she could compete in. If she is being a good mother and putting her child first as a mother should, that is a role model. She could inspire others to follow her example, and more children of teenage mothers would have better care. She will still face adversity in competing, not eveyone will agree with my ideas, but I think that if she does want to pursue this she should. I hope this helps a bit...its just my idea. I don't know, I just keep hearing the Bible quote in my mind "judge not lest ye be judged"... let me know what you think.
Hi Shauna! I am doing alright here...I'm just getting myself into school and now I'm redecorating a bedroom...its totally leopard. I love it!!!!!! Oh, I also decorated outside for Halloween already. Yes, its early, but my hubby and I LOVE the holiday. I have a 4 foot lighted inflatable pumpkin in the yard, and all kinds of other things. Well, I'll talk with you all soon...hope all is good.
Love,
Amy
