Subject: I need help for my 5 yr. old son

My five year old son has recently begun telling me about past lives that he has lived. I wasn't even sure I believed in reincarnation until he started telling me these things. Anyway, he also told me that he has been dreaming that he is flying but he is describing what I have heard about astral projection. I need to know how to talk to him and what to say. Just some basic way to describe what is happening to him because he says that he feels scared but excited at the same time.
The real trouble is that he is trying to work this out with his play. More specifically, he is tying a white rope around his waist and trying to jump off of his bunkbed. As his mother, I'm scared to death the rope will slip around his neck. His father doesn't believe in any of this and has taken the rope away and given it back after he thought our son wouldn't do it again. I took the rope away and our son went and got it out of the garage. He also tries to tie the rope to our cat, because ( I know this sounds crazy) I think our cat is astral projecting with him.
Very new for me. Not even sure if I like it. So, if anyone can help I'd like some advice. He is very articulate and with the past lives, I got some help from another web site and was able to talk to him. he was greatly relieved. I think I need something like that now.
