I guess I'm a convert, I listened to O&A and stern (In NY) and I didn't really have a preference back then (go easy on me). These days Stern is unlistenable, the funny is gone. I just got my XM so I need to do some catch up on O&A. -- O&A Rock Party, Sat Jul 26, 2008 00:30:10

I was a huge Stern fan when he used to actually do bits like the Homo Room and Guess Who's the Jew, with Fred as Kurt Waldheim jr. Funny stuff. He started going downhill when he made his movie. His ego spiraled completely out of control. I remember him talking for about an hour one day about how he deserved an Oscar nomination. At first I thought that it was a bit. Sadly, it wasn't. He started believing that he was a BIG STAR, and started to treat the radio show almost as if it was a nuisance and he was just killing time until something bigger came along. I still listened, but it seemed that all the fun had been sucked out of the show by his enormous ego.

Then one Friday a friend asked if I wanted to go to an O&A roadshow. It was the Valentine's Day Loser's Ball at the Long Island Brewing Company. I think it was in '99, correct me if I'm wrong. I had never listened to the boys before, but it seemed like a good excuse to blow off work and get drunk, so I went. The boys were at their best, I was amazed at how funny they were together. Stephen Lynch performed, everyone was ragging on Black Earl, Fat Mendy was crushing twinkies with her huge ass and listeners were licking off the remains for t-shirts. I was hooked. After that, Stern seemed old and tired, and I lost all interest.

He was talking about how he should have won(or at least been nominated) for best actor for Private Parts. Even Fred was being a zombie saying he should've AT LEAST been nominated before Jack Nicholson in As good as it gets. It was one of the most ridiculous conversations I have ever heard.

Fuck! This guy mentioned OnA in his book and hates Stern with a passion. Savage has a picket line outside of his station in San Franthisco now. Apparenlty some Mexicans started a hunger strike and Savage told them to starve to death. Now, they're screaming racism and hate speech. Obviously they want him thrown off the air. AND OBVIOUSLY(!!!!!!) this has nothing to do with the first amendment. It has to do with hate speech. Fuck I hate that arguement..... cliche' cliche' cliche'.
