Captain,
Ah, that clears up the mystery of why wives of C of 64 get togethers always flock together. But seriously, is it a social practice in Malaysia to seat the men away from their wives? Oh expletive delete, will that bring on more smart observations about ladies in Malaysia? Guess that's OK, so long as the ladies of C of 64 visiting this Forum do not find our postings offensive.
By the way, The Inspector forward a rather good article on Andy Rooney. Brilliant, Inspector. Thanks.
More BTW: the pictures of our classmates haveing Yum Cha in what looks like great restaurant. It's many years since I visited Klang. Was the Yum Cha restaurant in Klang? Gee how Klang has changed, but then it's more than 65 years since we were kids catching fighting fish in the rubber estate drains, or having a swim in "Dipoon Pah".
Recently I bought a packet of Kari Lucksa paste to try it out. Quite credible. I looked at the packet closer, only to discover that the curry lucksa paste factory is located in Klang, and in fact somewhere in Meru. But then I should not be surprised, as many well known brands come from Klang, and many famous or infamous people comes from Klang as well. Heck, it even managed to produce Doctors, politicians, accountants, land developers, policemen, and yes, even lawyers who then choose to move to Taiping, Ipoh or even the Kinta Valley. (OK, that ought to flush out the well qualified, highly successful Silk from somewhere up north)
Regards, LG
