Capt, 'Silk' refers to 'specialists' like in medical profession, usually they are very competent senior lawyers in their chosen field of practice. In UK 'silk' and QC is synonymous.
Therefore, it is very kind of LG to think of me as a 'Silk' though I am not one being more of a 'GP' type of lawyer, except I don't take on criminal cases, except very rarely if they are also my clients for civil matters.
And since I was born into a Sikh family it must have been ordained so and thus I will die as a Sikh. But if examined closely I would qualify for only about 60% Sikh. And yes, I am not from Taiping though LG from yonder down under seems to insist I am. But there's no harm done. Born in Singpore, early life in Klang, adulthood and now the golden years mostly in Ipoh.

The Doc hands out poetic relief,
and magic potions beyond belief.
LG hopped in to carry on the fun,
and verses shoot oft from his gun.
The lawyer in Ipoh is much taxed,
to work, to rhyme, yet be relaxed.
The Capt must also try to keep up,
staying awake on brew in his cup,
one hand on dials in his cockpit,
other on the sexy air hostess’s tit.
Leaving his mind wandering about,
words that rhyme for the next bout.
P.S.
One of the guys I miss dearly on this MB is THB! Perhaps something someone said on this MB upset him. Well, life is short and for us all there even is a shorter time left over. At our mid sixties we have already used up about 80% and what’s left is about 20% for the more fortunate ones, e.g., LSK was not even gifted that.
It is time to give up any ‘fissiparous’ tendencies. I think if anybody can, it would be NBH who would be the right person to persuade him to return to the ‘fold’.
Just a thought fellas! It the sentiment is not shared by others just forget it.
