The photos of early days showed his "gang". However, I often spotted him with Liang at the nearby kopitian, sipping their cuppo, and chatting God knows what. The 2000 photo showed he was still a beer drinker, and binged not infrequently, until he was converted from quasi-traditional-taoist into christianity. If I am not wrong, he was quite a shy chap, esp in social events when boys need to meet girls. He missed at least one romantic opportunity, I was told. Perhaps uncontrolled hypertension (not a compliant one) and alcohol damaged his kidneys, and he required dual renal transplant. Perhaps then, he gave up the choice of matrimony. And those horrible regular medication robbed his once handsome look away. It was only in the later part of his life that he frequented my clinic. He was always soft spoken, appeared to me to be a very devout christian, but not the type to choke you into boredom. I was a regular recipient of many of his holy messages. This was the "little" that I was acquainted and could share with you all.
