Most newspapers in Malaysia lauded Penny Wong's appointment as a Minister under the Labour Government ; as if it is a credit to Malaysia. Sad to say there is nothing truly Malaysia to shout about other than on "ex-Malaysians".

Actually her appointment to the Australian cabinet does not come as a surprise. As a Senator for South Australia, we was concurrently the Labour Party's "Shadow Minister for Employment and Workforce Participation, Corporate Governance and Responsibility". I do not know her and cannot say anything as to her ability and credibility.

However, I had read her maiden speech to the Senate made on 21 Aug 2002. Some of the things she said ( assuming she is a Malaysian ) could be termed as sensitive or seditious in Malaysia.

She looks like Chow Yuen Fatt alright. Why not me ? Chow Yuen Fatt looks like me too. Pity such a pretty dame is a lesbian. Is it because the Aussie men failed. If so, you got yourself to blame, Ray.
