First: many thanks Ray for sharing of HDTV. I should have known -- walked right into that one. I mean bang into my face. I can only afford a small laptop, and gee. OK, enough said. No more, even though it's eye popping, as my laptop is a shared laptop. Thanks again.
Regarding Death & Dying. I don't mean to raise this subject, but in the last few months, there had been a few funerals. The most painful is a friend only 56. Such a vibrant and caring person as well -- so why die so young? No, let's not start on the subject of super being etc. I respect others too much to talk about that subject. But that recent experience reminded us of Life, and the meaning of Life. No, again, I do not wish to provoke a whole series of preaching etc.
In the 9 days between dying and telling us that she got terminal cancer, we had parties everyday. That's what she wanted, and that's what we had. Gin & Tonic. Peking Duck, Jook -- yes, she loved jook. And she wanted a cardboard coffin. Her reasoning is, why spend dollars on the dead, when in fact things get back to the ground anyway? Why cremate, and create a high carbon footprint? Instead, we had a lavish Wake, in her memory.
OK, enough of this talk of Death & Dying. Perhaps it's my way of talking about this painful experience -- my griefing method.
Ah Pek, may all of you live long and healthy.
Regards, LG
