LG,

The return airfare is inclusive of taxes except additional payment if you wish to reserve choice seats and food and drinks on board. There is no fuel surcharge. You need to book early. The early bird catches the worm, so to speak.

Try MAS if you want more comfort. I booked a return flight for my wife. It cost only RM1660.00. Everything included. MAS is behaving like a low cost carrier. The normal economy return fare to Melbourne was about RM3,800.00. Thai International fare is RM4,200.00. Sometimes I take the Thai flight from KL. It allows me 3 nights transit in Bangkok to do what I had to do before landing in Melbourne and also 3 nights transit to do what I had to do before returning home to KL.

3 weeks ago, my son went to Mel by Air Asia. The return fare cost him about RM600.00.

Swine flu is not deadly. Dengue kills more asians than swine flu. Thai now has more than a thousand cases. Malaysia about 100. I think more caucasians die or seasonal flu than swine flu.I was told that these caucasians could not withstand high fever and succumb to it.

Mel has detected few thousand cases. The authorities had lost track and stopped counting. My wife just returned from Mel after 3-month stay. My son was there for 2 weeks. They came home safely without having to be quarantined.
