Barbara Jean Sanders Edgington

80, of Indianapolis, passed away July 17, 2012. She was born November 22, 1931, in Greenwood, IN, to the late Moman and Maggie Thompson Sanders.

Barbara graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1949, owned her own business for many years, and married Jack H. Edgington in 1982. She was a devoted wife and mother, who loved to travel and garden.

Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2012, from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel , 9606 E. Washington St.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of nearly 30 years, Jack Edgington; children, Judi Ferrand (Jeff) and David Gowan (Erika); stepchildren, Debbie, Mark and Vicki; grandchildren, Eric, Micah, Bo, Lexanne, Anthony, Matthew, Elizabeth, Josh and Zach; and five great-grandchildren. A brother and a sister; and a granddaughter, Carley, also preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 441 E. Tenth St., Indianapolis, IN, 46202.
