Subject: Finding a new friend (charater devolpment)

It seems that since Shooter has gone on his own he has had a void left inside of him. For a long time he and Seth traveled the wrestling world having fun and ribbing people. But now Seth has gone and Shooter has joined the SINdicate, still he wonders around kind of in a pointless direction. Deep down he knows that his wrestling career is hitting the fast track but he is lost. What can he do to make himself feel better what can he do to brighten his gloomy days. Hmmm let us think about that for a moment shall we.

I know Shooter needs a new friend, someone he can hold meaningful conversations with. Someone that will always be by his side when times get tough, someone who won’t try and get him in trouble or think about their own needs in front of his. So lets look at our options. Shooter could get a girlfriend but we all know how much trouble they can be. She will want to change him to make him fit her needs. She will not let him go out and play with the other kids. He will have to dress better and learn to eat healthier.

He could get a manager, but they want money and fame but are to scared to back up someone in a fight. A manager will also try and change Shooter make him more profitable, the money factor plays in again. So on the human side I think we can rule everyone out. No one likes change, not even Shooter.

So how about a pet? A pet is a great idea, they don’t want much a little love some food and water. What kind of pet though? A dog maybe, but everyone has a dog and they can be trouble taking overseas. You have to house break them and teach them tricks. Hell Shooter can barely tie his own shoes let alone teach a dog to roll over. Then again a cat, everyone loves a little pussy. A cat though is too snobby, you can’t really train them, they only come to you when they want and want to sleep all the time, which is not a bad idea if you are Shooter since walking seems to be a major problem with him. A cat is too much like a girlfriend, you have to build your life around them not yourself.

We can go down the lists of animals all day, but I think we need to look at what fits Shooter. If you look at Shooter what kind of pet do you see him having? A Ferret, a Llama, or maybe a pet goat on a leash that will sit there and eat have the damn ring during a match. NO WAIT I have it! A PENGUIN.

That is it a penguin is the perfect pet for Shooter. Lets look at a penguin shall we. A penguin is a flightless bird and we all know that Shooter can’t fly. The penguin in the water is a beautiful site, he darts back and forth doing tricks and moving like a dancer. Shooter in the ring is actually a joy to behold, as all his steps seem to be set to a song as he floats from corner to corner. On the land a penguin is awkward and has a problem walking a straight line. Shooter out of the ring well is Shooter out of the ring and we all know what that is like.

So that is it Shooter is going to get a penguin. I know that this will make him whole again, and fill his life with hours of joy and happiness. So boys and girls I think it is time to go shopping.

** Shooter is walking down a back street in a small town in China. He walks by a few vendors selling odds and ends. He goes to a doorway back in the corner and knocks on the door. A sliding panel in the door opens up and Shooter smiles at the guy. The panel closes and the door opens and Shooter walks in. There is a small man behind a very large desk. He sits back smoking a pipe and waves Shooter over. Shooter walks to a chair and sits down missing the edge of the chair and landing on the floor. The man stands up looking over the desk at Shooter whom smiles back at him lifting himself up and sitting down.

The man slides Shooter a book and Shooter thumbs through the book and stops on a page. He spins the book and points to a picture. The man gives him a strange look, but Shooter is so used to that he pays no attention to it. The man picks up the phone and makes a call. A few minutes later a fat red headed Chinese man comes in and takes Shooter to another room. Shooter walks into a large room filled with cages. There are all sorts of animals there. Monkeys are screeching, tigers and lions roar, and dogs are barking. Shooter walks by them all not giving a second look. They walk through a door at the end of the room and it open to a smaller room with a big curtain hanging on the wall.

The man pulls the curtain back. There behind the glass is what Shooter was looking for. A penguin, strangely the penguin is sitting in a lawn chair under a heat lamp. He is reading a copy of the New York Times and sipping on a glass of pink lemonade. The red headed guy pounds on the glass, but nothing happen. He pounds again and still nothing. He pounds harder this time and the penguin looks up and flips a flipper up (because we all know that since penguin are a flightless bird they have no wings only flippers) as to give the man a penguin bird. Shooter laughs to himself. Shooter asks if he could go into the enclosure. The man looks at him and hands him a key and hurries off. Shooter walks over to a door and opens it. He walks into the room slowly, and over to the penguin. The penguin hops out of his chair and waddles over to Shooter. They stare at each for a while, Shooter reaches out his hand and the penguin gives him five. Shooter gets a half grin on his face and scratches his head. He looks the penguin up and down.**

Shooter: Hey little man. I think I will call you Roscoe. What do you think of that?

** The penguin rolls his eyes and walks towards the door. Shooter walks behind him almost dancing. **

Well that is it boys and girls. Shooter has gotten a new friend and only time will tell what will happen. Looking back and looking ahead who do you think is going to be the brains of this outfit? What are the guys in the SINdicate going to say? What is the Prez going to do with a Rabid Roscoe on the loose in the CWF???
