(We find Zeitgeist the Perpetual sitting crossed legged in a dark, candlelit room. He appears to be in deep mediation. He is wearing what appears to be a white body suit with black trim under a white leather opera style trench coat. His mask is white with black trim as well. He speaks�)

�And thus, the streak has come to what some would call an end�I, however, tend to see things quite differently. You see, I am a wrestler�pure�simple�an extraordinary athlete�a consummate professional, and a world class competitor. In areas such as these�I have no equal�and whilst my somewhat over glorified streak has come to an end�my superiority�HAS NOT.�

(An apparent breeze threatens to extinguish the candles, but does not)

�Darrin Chaos�no doubt, you have proven yourself a worthy competitor�but my superior�you simply�are not. Still, I acknowledge your accomplishments here in the twilight hours of 2002�if nothing else, you have earned your spot as the Atlas Champion�or, as it has come to pass�one half of the CWF Tag Team Champions. You see, Darrin�when I handed you that belt many moons ago�it was not without reason�I knew what you were capable of�and it seems that you have finally taken the first step towards that potential�towards fruition��

(Another breeze threatens the flames, which how now started to burn blue)

�And while I applaud your progress�I hope you realize this obstacle�this Perpetual Zeitgeist�is far from overcome. No, Darrin�I�m afraid this story�is never ending�and in a few short hours�we will further our journey, as a new chapter begins�Zeitgeist the Perpetual and Darrin Chaos�CWF Tag Team Champions�can we coexist? Can we work as a cohesive unit? Probably not�but the question is�will that make any difference? You see, admittedly, a tag team entails teamwork�hence the name�but in this case�you have two men who have quickly become two of the greatest enemies in the sport trying to defend a championship�together�and whilst this situation seems less than ideal�one must also realize that these two enemies also happen to be two of the greatest competitors in the sport today�and quite frankly, talent such as this has no need to coexist. Still�the NDN Empire are considered one of the best teams in the business, for whatever reason�and it would certainly seem that their advantage is clear�they are a team�while Darrin and I, are but two singles competitors�forced into a situation of utter disgust�add to that the injuries sustained in the web of pain�and you have a match that would seem elementary on paper�the NDN Empire should win�they have almost every possible advantage�unfortunately, however�this match will not be taking place on paper�and they will have to work for the victory everyone seems to be taking for granted��

(He cocks his head to one side as the flames begin burning green)

�Still�I must agree with my partner�the CWF Tag Team Championships mean little to me�they are nothing more than trophies�and even as such, they have been stripped of their true meaning�you see�the Apollo began and ended with Zeitgeist the Perpetual�it had purpose�meaning�the Atlas however�was doomed from the get go�dragged through the mud by a man that can be considered no less than an over hyped lummox. Some�few�may remember that man as GOTH. What little prestige that belt did have during his reign was due strictly to the Zeitgeist connection�the Apollo connection�otherwise�that belt would have disappeared into obscurity along with it�s owner�fortunately for the CWF�Zeitgeist the Perpetual was there to save that title�yes, it was I who made the Atlas Championship mean something again�my reign as Atlas Champion proved to be the saving grace for what would eventually become the CWF Tag Team Championship division�and in fact, made me the CWF Tag Team Champions within myself�the first cohesive unit to hold those titles�the only cohesive unit to hold those titles�and whilst I could have easily defended these belts, I chose to keep tradition alive and drafted Darrin Chaos as my partner�a decision that has proven both costly and wise�you see�together, Darrin and I have given these titles meaning�waging war on one another, pushing one another, taking one another to the next level�and amidst the mutual hatred, the mutual respect�and the violence�we have risen to the top of the CWF, taking the Apollo and Atlas Championships with us�we�ve come so far in fact, that we forced the CWF to include us in the Web of Pain�a match that either of us could have very well won. Unfortunately, the CWF has seen fit to throw a wrench into the works and slow what is nothing less than a well oiled machine�by merging the Atlas and the Apollo�in an effort to return to traditional tag team wrestling�and whilst I appreciate such tradition�such competition�I am not interested in participating. I have no desire to put my fate in another hands�the Perpetual Zeitgeist depends on no one�What I have, I�ve earned alone�and while I will stand side by side with Darrin Chaos and defend these titles�it will not be because I enjoy it�it wont be for the benefit of Darrin Chaos, nor will it be for the benefit of the CWF�no�I wont even be doing this for the benefit of Zeitgeist the Perpetual��

(Slowly we zoom into a close-up of the mask)

�No�I do this out of loyalty�and out of respect�for the FANS. You see, I am not here for my own benefit�I am not here for prestige�these things are merely an added bonus�my true intention�my true purpose�is to give the fans what they yearn for�competition�entertainment�WRESTLING�nothing more�nothing less. So understand this�Darrin�we can fight as a team�or we can fight as individuals�it is your choice�it matters not to me�but come the New Year�you�re either with me�or you�re against me�so whether it be Perpetual Chaos versus the NDN�Zeitgeist versus the NDN�or Zeitgeist versus the world��

(Dramatic pause and trademark smirk)

�I�ll be ready.�

(The candle light flickers out and we fade)
