Heather,

Your heart is aching for things to be the way they should be. Shame that isn't happening in this imperfect world.

Your heart should NOT ache that your son does not get to see the addict that is in his father's body, nor should your heart ache that the addict cannot see his son. Spencer chooses to use....quit feeling sorry for this man. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why he makes you feel this way...

Pray that God cleans him up so that your son can have a father in his life.

Do not answer calls when you know it is him. Do not answer emails or text messages from him. If you accidentally pick up the phone and it is him....hang up! Make him take you to court or leave you alone.
