Thanks for asking...we are pretty much on hold. He has gotten his parole from Iowa, but is still there. Illinois has a hold on him. There is an outstanding warrant in our county for a charge that I got the DA's office to drop.

The warrant was issued in August, 2005, and the charge was dropped in November, 2005....I guess they don't dot their I's and cross their T's.

This is good news for me financially. I don't have to come up with the $100 processing fee for out of state parole, nor do I have to go and get him to the tune of $150 in gas plus food, etc. for all four of us. Six hours there driving...the time to actually get him....and six hours back would have my boys going bonkers.

So God was working his magic way back in November for us.

Last time I checked anywhere it was about three weeks ago, and Illinois said that they haven't been told to come and get him yet. They also told me to just be patient and wait it out because every attempt I make to find out what is going on seems to put a slowdown on the whole process. DOC's way of showing you who has the power...shame too as the one's most hurt by all of this are the kids. So go ahead, DOC...blow your trumpet and show us just how big and bad you are with my children the ones most devestated by it all...I believe justice will be theirs via our most gracious Lord!

Hubbie is going nuts waiting it out, and I'm about tired of the entire situation. It's like we're at the end of the tunnel, but the light burnt out. I have the attitude that "I'll see ya when I see ya." I've stopped writing because I just don't have the inclination after running after two children that are walking (my baby is a toddler now--he's walking and talking), plus he should have been home three months ago if he hadn't gotten into trouble (so I have an attitude going too).

I'm scared about what it will be like when he is actually here...but I have to have faith in God and believe this is just the enemy buzzing in my ear.
