Quite possibly your brother is still in jail. Every state has a web page for their department of corrections. They should also have an inmate search so you can see if he is there.

My husband just graduated from his Rehab class in the Iowa Department of Corrections. He has been in and out of the Department of Corrections for the past 20 years because of his actions while on meth or pot (to be able to get drugs) and all are burglary charges. This is his first round of time where his loved ones know of what the problem is and that he has children out here that he wants to clean up for.

He has told me that in his rehab classes that meth addicts quite often end up in the prison system. There are also statistics that state that at least 50% of the inmates are meth users prior to being convicted in many of the department of corrections. Meth use and addition is a very serious wave of destruction across the U.S. that our government needs to get more involved with.

Get educated on meth, with a start reading the helpful tips that Been There keeps posted. Also, don't let this ruin your life. I'm not sure if the open NA classes will help you, but they constantly say that AlAnon has its virtues. I turned to the Lord for my guidance because I don't have the ability to go to meetings since I have two young children that I have nobody to watch so I can go.

Good luck and God bless. Keep us posted so that we can attempt to help you through your situation.
