Unfortunately, they are master liars. And master manipulaters. The reason she sounded so evil, is because it is the drug talking. She will probably go to some pretty unbelievable lengths to keep her child away from you. But she will make a mistake, and when she does, you need to make sure you are there to let the right people know. I have shared here before of all the things I done to my parents during my addiction, and a cry of child abuse was one of them. Just if you can keep a journal everyday of what your daughter does, good or bad. Get a composition book, and write it all down. This can be used as a legal document in court.

You must go forward with the adoption, it sounds like you are the only hope for that baby. Keep asking God for guidance and strength. I will say a prayer for you also.
