hi valerie,

I too am a mother of 2 kids 8 and 5 and although my husband was the one who left me i too had nothing I was a stay at home mom for 3years, still am. I went to welfare which I have never been on in my life. It was hard in the beginning and I won't lie it still is but.....let me tell you how great I feel....overwhelming why u ask .....because i am doing everthing on my own (no help at all from the part time dad who wants full time custody! ...no help with nothing) It is the best feeling in the world. The resources and help is there girl if u need them and look for them. I have opened up to people about my issues and my past addictions I am overwhelmed by the amount of help and support that is out there if you have the courage to just ask for it! And you are a student so look at it this way...it's not forever. And just as others on this site have told me kids adjust slowly (mine are going to be just fine) FOLLOW YOUR HEART IT ALWAYS KNOWS WHATS BEST. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON
MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU GOOD LUCK!

KIM
