 I tell her the reason her Mom is gone is that she is sick and trying to get help. so far she hasn't really asked what kind of sickness. I am going to tell her the truth soon. Her Dad thinks we should. And we are going to do everything we can to make sure she doesn't blame herself. Hopefully it will be enough. My older grandchildren don't have their Mom either and they are doing well. They know whats going on and thankfully they wouldn't touch drugs. It has been hard on them and they don't want that kind of life for themselves or their children. I never thought that we would have problems like this in our family. It's amazing how strong they can be, they handle it much better than I do! Your grandgdaughter is lucky to have you and your husband. She will always know how much she is wanted.
