First you need to know that YOU cannot cause anyone to relapse. Relapse happens when the addict makes a poor choice.

Tough spot to be in though, you are making the right choice by doing the adoption. Because between the two of them if they are using, the child is always the one who gets the worst. They are innocent and not educated to know how to choose between two people....especially two addicts.

You are doing the right thing, and remember if she chooses to use again, that is her choice. It is not your fault. I pray that all of this will work out for you and your daughter.
