I don't understand how a beautiful, intelligent woman who has such an amazing grasp on life could just throw it away to be with meth. I had a baby 11 months ago - and she called me to see how she was doing. I never got the chance to ask her to be the Godmother. That was the last time I've heard from her. Apparently she's ran off and won't have anything to do with her family. She quit her job - her car was repossessed - and she's stealing to buy meth. Who is this person? She isn't the woman I knew just 11 months ago. My grieving is deeper than I ever thought it would be - its like a funeral without a death. I want her to be ok. I want her to know my daughter. I want my best friend back. Is there anyway to stop this pain in my heart? I wish I had seen the signs. Maybe I could've talked some sense into her. I love my best friend. She is better than that.
