I understand your confusion. My son had an a very bright future ahead of him. His senior year of highschool he was accepted into the jumpstart program at Georgia Tech. His dream had always been to be an engineer and he was well on his way. For some reason he took a different path. I don't know how he got started on meth... just that he did. After he graduated high school... that was the end of his college plans. He said that maybe he would just take a years break. I knew better and the meth slowly took my son and everything he had worked for away. It's hard for anyone on the outside to understand. I pray for your friend and hope she gets help. On the other hand I must warn you to stay away from your friend. The only help you should give her is to talk, talk, talk and help her to get into a teatment program. Pray for her, this stuff is evil! Don't let it drag you down too and it will even if you never try the stuff. The reach has no boundries. Good luck to you and your new baby.. that is a true blessing and enjoy every second. I wish I could give you a fix, but everyone on this sight can't find one... the answer is in the addict themsleves. :)
