read the posts here. start at the beginning and you will see a common thread. meth addicts that are using do not give a chit about you or the kids compared to meth.
everytime he starts a sentence with 'YOU' or 'I need, I want, you need to' it's probably an excuse or a lie.
"He seems to like the drug better than he does his family and he blames me for not helping enough."
translated from addict speak it is: (please hear this to your soul) 'help me stay high no matter what and then we can get along, because i like being high more then i like you & the kids and being a responsibilie adult'.
now here's the low down truth.
you need support. take pictues of him high and any time else you will need for court. tell everyone in your family the truth, your family, his family, his friends, his job (if he has one). plan your exit if he doesn't want to quit on his own. give him a realistic deadline (like 2 days) to get into treatment if he wants to keep you and the kids. stick with it or go through years of hell. meth stands for Move Everyone To Hell, and that includes you and the kids and anyone else he can hold hostage. none of this is easy, but some choices are more painful then others. would you rather 1. have the kids have a father on meth, or 3. no father at all, or 3. start your life over with a new man who doesn't use meth and blame you?
staying with a meth user, hoping they will see the light and get clean, is a million daily deaths all over again. you cannot get the time or you life back. please do not waste you life trying to change someone who can only change himself.
good luck.
