When I first got clean, I had no friends. The only people I would talk to was at meetings. But the bright spot about meetings is, your daughter will always find someone there who has experienced what she is experiencing right now. Just keep encouraging her to go. Go with her if it helps her to talk more about what she is going through. This is the toughest time for the addict, using is still really foremost in their minds. This is a terrible drug.....it is straight satan. I have been clean for almost 22 months, and still I have trouble with the want to get high again. The urge never truly comepletely goes away, it just becomes easier to find other solutions as one's sobriety time increases. Just keep encouraging her to go one more day. In time she will find that there is alot of people out there who don't use, for now the best friends she can have will be found at meetings.

I pray that she goes another 24 without this horrible monster on her back.

Melinda
