Lloyd, I know how you feel. I have suffered a lot also with ptsd, depression, etc. and now Type II diabetes with no family history. I think things are getting better. Unfortunately, the more depressed a vet is, the less chance that he or she will be willing to put in the effort to file a claim. I think the VA hopes for that.

I hope this finds you well.

I served at NKP from 1973-74, I was attached to the Chaplain's Office. Part of my duty was to travel with the Chaplain on site visits aall over that base. I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes eight years ago and in December 2005, I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in my feet, legs, hands, and arms. From my research, I believe that NKP and most bases in Thailand were poisoned before the bases were established. I believe that when they say they tested the Agent Orange in Thailand, every bases in Thailand was a test site. All they did was build a base on top of the stuff. Also, NKP was approximately 7 miles from the Laotian border and 60 miles from Vietnam. I read somewhere that even if they sprayed in Vietnam, Agent Orange could be carried in the air currents for up to 1000 miles. Let's face it Brothers they knew long before anyone was sent there that the bases in Thailand were hazardous to human life, but not only did they deny its use in thailand then, they are still making us prove exposure. It is a crime that someone should pay for because not only have they taken my future, they have in essence murdered us all.
This coming from a so called "Grateful Nation". It is all such BS!!!
