In reply to: Gerard Morin (Jerry) 's message, "Korat Air Base '64 and '65" on 18:04:35 11/14/06 Tue

I was at Korat 65/66 and have prostrate cancer. I have learned that AO was shipped/stored in barrels with orange bands on them. Other agents were marked with blue, green, and other colors. If you find any photos with barrels in them look for the bands. It seems to me that we were using open barrels on the ball field that was next to the Nit Noy Theater. Jerry were you there the night we were in the theater and the fogging /spraying unit drove around spraying into the theater? I beleive they were spraying for bugs but didn't the military use DDT at that time? Please send me a reply at my e-mail address of gerryyoung43@yahoo.com >I hope Harold (Bob) Davies can read this. >My brother, Jim Simpson, was a heavy equipment operator who was stationed at Utapao, Korat, and NKP during the years May '66 to January 4, 1969. He used heavy equipment to extend the runways for the airbases. We are trying to find out the exact dates he was in each place. He also drove heavy trucks to various places, passing through and staying at Udorn. He has just been diagnosed with Lewy Body Disease which includes Early Onset Alzheimers and Parkinsonian symptoms so your "Early Stage Alzheimers" caught my eye. He can no longer remember whether he was in Thailand for two tours or one. He is only 65 which is young for Alzheimers. Do you know of others who have this diagnosis? He also has Type II diabetes.
