I was stationed at Udorn from 71 to 72 as a Military Dog Handler. Retired from the Air Force in 89. I received disability for herbicide exposure type 11 diabetes, heart attack in 04 stent placed in artery currently waiting for ruling on Ischemic Heart desease from ratings board.. The VA will approve disability for herbicide exposure if the veteran was assigned as a dog handler or security police. If the veteran did work on the perimeter but can't prove due to job decsription it may be diffuclut to get compensated unless there is prove. I wish you luck, don't give up

>I was stationed at NKP, Udorn and Chiang Mai, Thailand from Dec 1973 to Mar 1976. I had additional duties which took me around the perimitter of NKP and Udorn. It looked like the ground was burned off of all foliage. I have had a heart attack and an aortic valve replacement. My heart problems persist, along with hypertension, sleep apnea, diabetes, and arthritis. Am always is pain. The VA said that they won't give me service connected disability because I wasn't exposed in Vietnam. Any help, PLEASE!
