He could be a confident, skillful surgeon with a great sense of humor. He could have a beautiful wife who is also a doctor and understands that he must spend most of his waking hours at the hospital. There is a chance for his character to show compassion, humor and intensity. All of a sudden I am remembering some great intense scenes from Secrets and Lies. OK, the hobo crawls into the box one night and dreams of being a surgeon. His wife comes home and finds his message on the answering machine that he is working late at the hospital. She realizes that she now has time to relax before starting dinner. She goes upstairs and takes a nice long bubble bath, and fusses with her hair...maybe she should get a new do? No, maybe, oh well, I'll think about it later..... Meanwhile, in surgery, at the hospital, our Danny finds this young girl has to have her apendix removed. As he finishes the operation, the nurse tells him that the girl's mother is in the hallway waiting. He goes to inform the mother that the surgery went well, and she is in recovery. When he opens the door, he finds his college sweetheart looking at him. He hadn't seen her in 10 years. His head filled with questions. What happened? Why did she leave college so soon?
