Just wondering if you have still been smelling the matches burning. I live in California. I came across you posting as I was researching the very same thing. Recently I keep smelling phosphorous as if matches were burning yet I do not smoke and there is no one around. I have also on occasion smelled cigarettes. Even my fingertips smell of matches at times when I haven't used any. It is very odd and I get the feeling someone is around me. From your story it is quite evident that your exhusband it trying to let you and you dauhgter know he is around and loves you. Remeber, there are no coincidences.
