Subject: strange smells in our house

I live in tyne and wear our house was built in 1880 over the last 8 months we have having a sort of computor burning smell like its over heated upstairs in the bedrooms and on the landing it moves from room to room when it happens maybe once very 2 or 3 months, also last week but this has never happened before we was watching tv only about 2.30pm and for about 2 seconds we had the stongest smell of strawberries there are no strawberries anywhere near the house, has anybody got any thoughts to what this could be please
