Subject: Ghostly experiences at Richmond Theatre

Hello, I used to be an usher/barman at Richmond theatre in London,

About a year ago I was working alone in the upper circle before the show cleaning up the aisles etc, and just doing the things i usually do beforehand, anyway I was sitting down reading a program in one of the side slips, and happened to look across at the rows of seats in the main circle when I saw an old mans face staring right back at me from one of the seats, only the head was visible so it seemed to hang in mid-air.

Under my breath i said "shit!" and looked back at my program, I looked back and the head had gone, and I felt ok, I sat there for another couple of minutes hoping something else would happen, nothing did although I felt uncomfortable and cold, and left the auditorium.

I know that generally a lot of old theatres are "haunted", and I have heard ghost stories from mates working with me there, but does anyone know much of Richmond theatres history? Or experience something similar?

Cheers
