I'm really interested by the ghost who said it was the Holy Spirit.

I don't know if you're religious at all, but there is a verse in the Bible that says that the devil can appear to you as an angel of light. It also says that the devil was thrown out of heaven because he said that he would exhalt himself above God - so it wouldn't be out of character for a demon to present itself as the holy spirit. I would reccommend speaking to a priest and finding out more about the practises that went on in the chapel. It could've been a dark place. I'd be interested to know what you find out.
