>There is a pub in Cliffe, Kent, called the Black Bull that I had heard was haunted, so I went to see it. The regulars were telling me about how they would quite often see drinks slide down the (level) bar on their own which, after a few years, they were quite blase about, and the landlord himself told me how his wife had found herself unable to get out of their private room upstairs by 'something' pushing on the other side of the door. I went back again to find out more, but the landlord said he didn't want to discuss it further as his wife was terrified of 'stirring' whatever it was up to even greater things. Some pubs and hotels think ghosts are a good way of pulling in the punters (and, indeed, will even invent them). Some are very cagey. The waiter you spoke to, however, might not know anything about it. Try the landlord or the regulars. You might find them more forthcoming.
