This reminds me of the parable of the double exposed film. There was a bloke who, upon getting his film developed, found on most frames the images of other unknown people overlayed on his pictures. This was because he had bought a film that had been accidentally repackaged and sold to him without being developed. So that could be your problem. Maybe.
