Subject: my haunted house

I had many weird experiences in the house i lived in up to just over a year ago in Colchester, Essex. Practically everyone who came into the house felt they were being watched, various people heard foorsteps behind them in the kitchen whe no-one was there. My two children asked to share a bedroom because they were too scared to be apart, and every night at 2am my eldest who was 3yrs old would wake and come into my bedroom saying "the man" had woken her up again and she was scared. The stairs which were in the centre of the house, went from the landing into the livingroom, and my husband kept hearing someone walking up them in the middle of the night, the footsteps would then go accross the landing and stop outside our daughters room! I frequently heard a child calling out "mummy" from the top of the stairs, but it would happen when my kids were out of the house or fast asleep in bed, i found that very upsetting! many other things happened in that house, too many to go into now, but, having read some of the messages it is nice to know that i am not alone in my experiences!
