There was an all-night vigil at Dover Castle that was filmed and which contained the most amazing footage not so long ago. They did mention a uniformed figure seen in the underground tunnels that were part of the 'war room' hub from the second world war. I think a group from University at Canterbury (on the technical side) in conjunction with some investigators from a local group (again, Canterbury) got together on this. Might be worth asking around there.
